A joint sealing system, Fire Snake is a great solution for sealing large penetrations between floors and walls. Pyropanel Fire Snake is made of mineral wool encapsulated in a clear plastic flexible casing. It is especially useful for sealing between the top of fire walls and the underside of slabs, ceilings and roofs. It is available in five different sizes with thicknesses to fire rate gaps from 10mm to 67mm. This product must be compressed by at least 10% for gaps above walls to achieve 2 hour fire protection, or by at least 40% for floor gaps to achieve up to 4 hours fire protection (see technical data sheet for more information).
