Fire pillows are an efficient and quick method for sealing various service penetrations through walls, slabs or floors. We stock high quality PROMASEAL fire pillows, made from water repellent, treated cloth envelopes enclosing a high-temperature and fire resistant dense granulated material. They can provide permanent protection from the spread of fire, but they are particularly useful when only temporary protection is required, e.g. where future cabling or services require regular access. When exposed to fire, fire pillows remain in place thus forming a fire barrier of a solid mass of insulating material.
Fire pillows are low cost, yet an effective method of fire sealing. They are simple to install requiring minimum labour and can be removed and re-used if services need relocation.
