This system comprises double-sided coated batts, made from high density mineral wool, pig tail screws and bulkhead sealer. Simple to install and a very economical fire stopping option, it can be installed in both concrete/masonry wall and floor applications and has been tested for up to 120 minute fire resistance with various services penetrating the barrier. During a fire, the coated mineral wool stays in place and forms a barrier against the passage of flame, smoke and toxic gases.
