FRS have been onsite at the Hyatt Centric Melbourne construction by Hickory to install approximately 1500m2 of Speedpanel. This involved installing Speedpanel in 27 levels of scissor stair and 25 levels of shafts.
The FRS site crew included four carpenters, with two handling all the 78mm panels in the scissor stair areas and the other two handling all the shaft works; lobby relief riser, stair pressurisation riser and cleaner’s exhaust riser. During installation works, the FRS site team carefully navigated around multiple sub-ducts, ensuring panels were installed in line with Speedpanel specifications.
This project involved FRS working closely with multiple onsite trades including Auscool Airconditioning & Mechanical Services.
When complete, Hyatt Centric Melbourne will be a state-of-the-art hotel with sweeping views across Melbourne. Located at 9-27 Downie Street, construction commenced in May 2019 is anticipated to be completed March 2021. This hotel will consist of 278 suites over 25 levels on a 1140 square metre site footprint. Guest features will include a gym, lap pool and rooftop bar and restaurant.
